Nayeli Román

Nayeli Román, an Afro–Puerto Rican Bay Area native, is a San José State University graduate holding double bachelor’s degrees in Theatre Arts and Radio, Television, and Film.

With over ten years of experience in the performing arts, she has captivated audiences of up to 35,000 at major Bay Area events, including San Francisco’s Fleet Week, the Port Chicago Weekend celebrations, Northern California Carpenters Union events, Oscar Grant Foundation initiatives, and functions hosted by Divine Nine organizations such as Omega Psi Phi and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternities.

At just 23, Nayeli serves as the resident vocalist for both the Port Chicago Alliance and The Village, a Black nonprofit coalition. She also mentors and performs for the Parent African American Achievement Collaborative Team (PAAACT), and has showcased her talents nationally with organizations such as The National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc. and various NAACP chapters. Deeply dedicated to her community, Nayeli uses her artistry to give back and inspire others through the performing arts.
