Yulie Padmore is the Executive Director of the Port Chicago Alliance (PCA), where she leads national advocacy, education, and cultural preservation efforts honoring the legacy of the Port Chicago Sailors.
Under her leadership, PCA worked alongside descendants, advocates, and community partners to help secure the historic exoneration of the Port Chicago 50 by the U.S. Navy in July 2024. She has strengthed the organization’s role in advancing historical research and public awareness, building strategic partnerships with national law firms, public institutions, educators, and descendants of the Sailors to advance restitution and public education initiatives.
Beyond her work with PCA, Yulie is co-chair of the Contra Costa County Bar Association Port Chicago Task Force and serves on the CA-HI NAACP Armed Services and Veterans Affairs Committee. As co-founder of the East Bay Black Employee Collective, she helped secure the naming of Thurgood Marshall Regional Park — Home of the Port Chicago 50, a significant milestone in recognizing the civil rights legacy of Port Chicago.
